Abortion Day

Surgical abortion day is each Wedneday
at Planned Parenthood in Waco

Each Thursday in Waco, Planned Parenthood commits surgical abortions at its clinic at 1927 Columbus Ave. in downtown Waco. This abortuary opened for business in 1994.

Over the years faithful pro-lifers in Waco have stood in prayer and protest against this holocaust in our midst.

In 2001, Planned Parenthood Waco began administering RU-486 abortions. These abortion pills are given to pregnant women throughout the week.

Click here and you will see the heartbreaking year-to-year record of nearly 17,000 abortions administered at the Columbus Avenue abortuary through 2010. The toll for 2010 alone was 1,094 baby killed and many more lives devastated.

The pictures on this page show the scenes of abortion morning March 4, 2010--in the midst of 40 Days for Life campaign of prayer and fasting.

On this day, 30 women were scheduled to have their babies extinguished. Almost half did not appear. We experienced the blessing of seeing a couple arrive and then turn from their choice of abortion.  The 20-something couple drove into the abortuary about 8:15 a.m. While they could not miss the presence of pro-life men, women, and children in the public right-of-way, they did not stop to talk.  When they parked, they did not immediately enter the abortuary but remained talking.  After about 15 minutes, they backed out and departed.  Both smiled broadly at us as they drove away to life for their baby and to hopeful lives for themselves.

Reverend Ronnie Holmes, pastor of the Church of the Open Door -- leads the pro-life presence on abortion morning in Waco. In particular, he reaches out to counsel women to uphold the sanctity of the lives they hold within and the lives to which they are called by God.
