2004 Girl Scout Cookie Boycott in Waco

KBDE (American Family Radio) Boycott Ads

KBDE Ad #1
First ad began running on February 4, 2004.

Hello, I'm John Pisciotta from Pro-Life Waco with a message about this year's Girl Scout cookie sale.
Waco's Bluebonnet Girl Scout Council has a long-standing relationship with Planned Parenthood of Central Texas.
The Bluebonnet Council has sponsored Planned Parenthood's Nobody's Fool youth conference. The 2003 conference brought the assault on Christian sexual morality to a new level by distributing the graphic book It's Perfectly Normal. [I cannot describe on a family radio station the incredible content of this book.]
The cozy relationship was further revealed last May when the Bluebonnet Council honored Pam Smallwood as a Woman of Distinction.  Pam Smallwood is the chief executive of Planned Parenthood's abortion clinic.
I encourage you to join me in abstaining from Girl Scout cookies. Please explain that your reason is the close connection between the Bluebonnet Council and Planned Parenthood. If you have any questions, please call at XXX-XXXX.

KBDE Ad #2
First ad began running on February 9, 2004.

Hello, I'm John Pisciotta from Pro-Life Waco
with more facts about the entanglement of Girl Scouts with Planned Parenthood--the nation's leading abortion provider.
In my last message, I informed you about Bluebonnet Girl Scout Council supporting Planned Parenthood of Central Texas in the distribution of the controversial book, It's Perfectly Normal, to children.
Now we have learned of a new collaboration. On Monday, February 23, a conference entitled "Talking about sex in the sanctuary" will take place in Waco.
The curriculum is European-style sex education, which is an assault on traditional Christian morality. This offensive program will be directed primarily to clergy.
Co-sponsors for the program are–you guessed it–Planned Parenthood of Central Texas and the Bluebonnet Girl Scout Council. If you would like further information or would want to help bring the Bluebonnet Girl Scouts back to their past moral stature, please call this station at XXX-XXXX
