The battle over Wacoan Magazine support for Planned Parenthood
Pro-Life Waco demands that Wacoan Magazine to commit to
no further ads promoting Planned Parenthood. There are many fronts in the battle against baby killing at the hands of Waco Planned Parenthood. This post deals with marginalizing Planned Parenthood by challenging businesses that support the Waco abortion center. These are the business enablers of abortion. Pro-Life Waco’s biggest target has been the WACOAN monthly magazine. In January of 2018, the WACOAN ran a full-page ad promoting the new Planned Parenthood facility AND its abortion services. During the first quarter of 2018, Pro-Life Waco foot soldiers tried to persuade WACOAN management to reject Planned Parenthood ads in the future. This effort failed. Our first protest at the WACOAN headquarters, on the very busy Valley Mills Drive, was on June 7, with 19 protesting in the heat for two hours. On July 13, we again protested with even more vigor. In July Pro-Life Waco sent 50 letters to WACOAN advertisers expressing our concern about the entanglement of the WACOAN with Planned Parenthood. A third Wacoan protest was scheduled for August 17. On the afternoon of August 15, the Pro-Life Waco director received a call from the WACOAN attorney to arrange capitulation. WACOAN magazine agreed to reject all advertising from Planned Parenthood. Pro-Life Waco agreed to cancel the August 17 scheduled protest and any further challenges to WACOAN magazine. The links below will bring you to the Wacoan ads promoting Planned Parenthood. |
